René Trebing of Asheville, NC is creating equine art with a personal touch. I personally really like the window pane pieces. René recently bought one of my unicorn horn creations online and promptly sent back pictures of her application. I was thrilled to see a real world, non-display function for my art and thought I should share it with you.  She is still playing with a couple ideas for implementation, and I’ll let you know how it goes. If you’re in NC and interested in having René do a photo-shoot with any of your horses just click the picture above to find out how to get in touch with her.

Unicorn Horns and Other Curiosities

by on Monday, August 10th, 2009

Within this month the Products page will have many interesting items going up for sale. It’s been in the works for quite some time now and the preview pictures will be multiplying exponentially over the next few days. Keep in mind that, as these are all hand produced, any large orders will have to be given extra time for production. I’m currently accepting pre-signups for the already posted preview items, and will have the Unicorn Horn up for sale within the week, hopefully.

Also coming soon is a line of specimen jar curiosities, perfect for the Mad Scientist or Miskatonic University laboratory. There are three distinct sizes so far each containing a different creature suspended in semi-clear fluid, labeled according to family-genus-species, and sealed in with aged wax. These will be available as both singles and sets. More info coming soon.

Future plans include a line of alien artifacts, ancient technology artifacts, and garden gnomes (yup ?).

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am amassing a catalog with several pieces that I will be putting upon the site. Don’t misunderstand, I will not be selling old shoes and scuffed up electronic equipment. I have, instead, several custom fabricated pieces ranging from art to Halloween props that I’m going to put up on a page here labeled “Products”. You can view that page now, but there are no pieces as of the time of this posting. (more…)
