A while back I wrote a post in which I was describing my attempt to build a workable basement office from scratch. I sort-of finished the structure (noting that I totally sucked at doing drywall) and went on to construct a console/desk from which to let my creativity and alien shooting abilities flourish. I never did provide adequate reference photographs for this console, so I’m including them here, enjoy!
After finishing the design and build of my desk I did some work, played some games (thanks, Steam, for the wallet sucking summer sale), and started working through some of the tutorials to learn Reason 5.
It has been a long time since I tried making up/composing new music. My first website, which unfortunately has been nothing more than a placeholder for several years, was originally dedicated to my own music. The whole premise behind me learning to code html, eventually designing websites, learning photoshop, and everything has its roots in my attempts to take the noise in my head and share it with the world. I don’t have an opus to share today, but I thought that it might be fun to share the first song I assembled in Reason 5.
Maybe the xonikz.com site will get a revamp to post music stuff again, who knows. Either way it needs to be revamped, badly. I’ll get back to you all on that.
J, if you read this, Jean’s talking D-Con again this year. If you’re interested let her know. I can’t make it as I’ll be in Paradise Valley that weekend.
For the past couple weeks I’ve been designing and building a custom workstation/editing booth for my computer. Here are a couple shots. I’ve also got a running timeline on Google+ that shows some of the build shots.
