The spatial relationship research referenced was done as part of a study on the effects of room size and object orientation for marketing purposes. The principle applies here in reference to how the brain conceptualizes and prioritizes ideas. A big part of expanding your creativity is externally producing the images or concepts you come up with internally. Proper idea prioritization helps you immensely in discovering and developing the steps to complete your project.
Why don't you try it for a bit. Find the smallest room in the house and try to come up with a good project or work out the function/answer of a current project. Take the answer you come up with and record it. Take a break from the project or take a similar question out into a wide open room with a tall ceiling and repeat the process. You'll have more expansive concepts or answers from the big room and more detail oriented concepts or answers from the small room.

Yes, I looked into it quite a bit.
If you have any tips that you use in bolstering your creativity, send them over and if they work we'll have you guest-post a future quick tip.

No problem. If you're up for some fun, try adding a shot of bourbon to a batch; the better quality, the more smoky the flavoring. I've also tried adding porcini mushrooms, sautéed in potato vodka (till they're nearly translucent), for a nice bacon-like flavor. It goes well with the dried chipotlé peppers, which I can get for super cheap here (just have to powder them in a coffee grinder first).
