A Kidnapper on the Roof: For Real?

I’m quite certain something nefarious is going on at my end of Manhattan. Over the past couple days there has been talk and rumor passed to and overheard by me that indicates a wide range of strange occurrences up here. The most recent thing I overheard and then had told to me by my neighbor was to make sure my windows were barred at night because some girl on the east side had been abducted somehow out her window while her roommate was watching. He said that she had been watching some weird looking guy out on the street and he had pointed a red laser pointer at her. When she opened the window to yell at him someone yanked her out onto the fire escape. Her roommate rushed to help, but the guy somehow escaped up to the roof and was gone before anyone could do anything. That girl is still missing. My neighbor said there were several people who had gone missing from their apartments in upper Manhattan, and this girl’s kidnapping was the only one with an eyewitness. I don’t doubt that some of these stories have been exaggerated in the telling, but I’m locking my windows anyhow.

  1. I don’t know if I’d buy this one. Your neighbors are really weird anyway. Was this from the guy who’s always smoking in the hallway on the 4th floor?
