I went and saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today with friends and had quite a good time. The movie has all the earmarks of a great summer action film. It’s plot likely will not win any awards, but it has the comedy bits, pretty girls, army guys, robots, aliens, etc. that we all like in our big summer movies. Oh, and it has explosions too; one or two, I don’t really remember… The movie teaches us all several lessons that should greatly improve our life if we apply them to our daily living. I have chosen to list just a few of these life lessons, in the off chance that someone left to use the restroom during the movie and missed some of these key ideas. (more…)
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am amassing a catalog with several pieces that I will be putting upon the site. Don’t misunderstand, I will not be selling old shoes and scuffed up electronic equipment. I have, instead, several custom fabricated pieces ranging from art to Halloween props that I’m going to put up on a page here labeled “Products”. You can view that page now, but there are no pieces as of the time of this posting. (more…)
As I use hazardous chemicals (ex. 1) in the making of plastic replicas of my clay sculptures, and since I have no place to do this other than my small NYC room, I have begun constructing a ventilated exhaust booth for the purpose of sucking those fumes out my window instead of into my lungs. When finished, the booth will serve for the purposes of mixing, pouring, curing, painting, spraying, etc… It will give me the freedom to work on long cure time pieces and sleep there too. I’ll update this post with pictures as I take them, but I just put together the electrical structures for a test run last night, and electrocuted myself twice.
The booth consists of entirely modular pieces for easy storage, a clear vinyl cover for multi-angle viewing, an LED illumination strip, and an intake/exhaust powered ventilation system. It’s not super huge as the table I have to work on, and the room I have to work in are both very limited; but it will work for my current purposes and can be expanded upon later if needed. I found something similar online (ex. 2), but it was way too pricey. So I’m building my own, for much cheaper. Mine’s not metal, granted, but it is fully enclosed and can be used for more than airbrushing, while serving my own specific space.
Pictures and assembly breakdown to come soon.
